Team Wach: Wach May Be Next For Klitschko Brothers

By Thomas Ratajczak/Bokser.Org: Mariusz Kolodziej, the head of Global Boxing, who promotes Polish heavyweight giant Mariusz Wach (24-0, 12 KOs), believes his fighter has a realistic chance of securing the opportunity of a lifetime - a title shot against one of the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali. Wach faces Kevin McBride (35-9-1, 29 KOs) at the Mohegun Sun Casino on July 29.

"The Klitschko camp has expressed serious interest in the fight against Wach. The brothers have beaten all of the leading heavyweights, with only Tomasz Adamek remaining, so now they have to look among the boxers who are still unproven, such as promising fightrers like Derek Chisora and our Mariusz Wach," Kolodziej said to BoxingScene.com/Bokser.org.

"The physical assets of Mariusz match up to the Klitschkos, so they wouldn\'t be accused of facing a smaller and weaker opponent. A fight with one of the Klitschko brothers could occur at the end of this year or early next year. I realize that he would be jumping into deep waters, but Mariusz is ready. He recently sparred with Alexander Povetkin and Derric Rossy, and he looked sensational. It gave him a lot of self-confidence."
