Majewski, who came up short in an entertaining bout with Jose Miguel Torres less than two weeks ago at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn., has been anxious to get back in front of the public eye. Global Boxing Promotions CEO, Mariusz Kolodziej, decided that this would be an interesting form of relaxation for his fighter.
"I would like Patrick to get away for a moment from this environment," said Kolodziej. "A climate change and rest after a hard fight would be good for him. We are anxious that after returning from Mexico in his prime, he will return to the gym and begin preparations for the rematch against Torres, which will probably take place early 2012. "
Taping for "Cloroformo" has already begun. Details on the production are limited, but Majewski will play a Russian boxer that the producers say will be a villain ala "Drago" of Rocky IV. It's an interesting departure for the likeable middleweight from Atlantic City, N.J., who is among the nicest people in boxing. Majewski is expected to fly to Mexico City at the end of November to begin filming.
