Majewski, who is unbeaten at 17-0 (11 KO), is a native of Radom, Poland but relocated to America ten years ago at the age of 31 and began boxing out of the Atlantic City PAL with trainers Bill Johnson and Arnold Robbins.
The decree from the city council, which is dated June 15, 2011, reads:
"Whereas; the relentless, non-stop attack proudly allowed him to capture the title belt and go down in history as the new NABO Middleweight Champion of the World; and
"Whereas, Patrick\'s hard work, determination and devotion to the sport of boxing have paid off and are an inspiration to many.
Now, Therefore, be it resolved that City Council of the City of Atlantic City, hereby congratulates Przemek Patrick "The Machine" Majewski for becoming the new NABO Middleweight Champion of the World."
Majewski was overwhelmed by the honor, stating "This is a very proud moment in my life. I have worked very hard to reach this goal, and will continue to work hard to achieve higher plateaus in my career. To have the support of Atlantic City, as well as my fans back home in Poland and those who come to my fights, gives me great inspiration and motivation to reach for my goals."
