"I couldn't care less about his kicks," said Stephens, scheduled to face Cerrone in the co-main event of UFC on FUEL TV 3 on Tuesday at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. "I couldn't care less about his punching power. And I'm going to break him."

Both coming off losses to top-10 opponents, Cerrone and Stephens could use a win to start new runs at the elite ranks at 155 pounds.


May 13,2012 Igor Pokrajac eyes bonus for UFC on FUEL TV 3 FAIRFAX, Va. - At the UFC's Dec. 10 show in Toronto, Igor Pokrajac thought he had his first big bonus in the bag.

He destroyed Krzysztof Soszynski in 35 seconds, surely headed for UFC 140's "Knockout of the Night" award. Then Chan Sung Jung stepped into the cage and knocked out Mark Hominick in seven seconds.

Pokrajac faces Fabio Maldonado in a light-heavyweight bout on Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 card. But guess who fights in the main event? Yes, it's the bonus-collecting Jung once again.

Diaz's absence understandably left fans and Estima steamed.

Diaz, who reportedly was going to donate his purse to charity, has offered no explanation for skipping the event, which was sold online as a $9.95 pay-per-view.


May 13,2012 Although UFC past used against him, Chris Lytle contemplating second run at office In running for office in his home state, retired UFC welterweight Chris Lytle learned firsthand how far MMA has to go before it reaches the mainstream.

On Tuesday, the 37-year old Lytle came in second in a three-person race for the Republican nomination for a seat in the Indiana state Senate.

But he believes his popularity as a mixed martial artist had little to do with his showing. In fact, opponents tried to use it against him.

In a recent media call, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said there are no definite plans for the winner of the May 19 headliner between Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier. But whatever happens next, it'll be in Strikeforce.
