Evolving Neer takes new approach to lay-and-prayers ahead of UFC on FX 3
SUNRISE, Fla. - Josh Neer has gotten over his hatred of so-called "lay and pray" artists.
Now, he's just determined to stop them - and punch them in the face.
That's the plan against his next opponent, Mike Pyle, whom he believes will try to take him down when they meet at UFC on FX 3, which takes place Friday at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.

UFC 146 officially draws 14,674 attendance for $3.4 million live gate
This past month's UFC 146 event officially drew a 14,674 attendance figure and a $3,428,775 live gate.
Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer today emailed the figures to MMAjunkie.com.
UFC 146 took place May 26 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos earning the first successful defense of his title with a second-round TKO over Frank Mir in the pay-per-view headliner.

UFC on FX 3’s Mike Pierce combing Florida fast-food chains in search of Thiago Alves
Oregon's Mike Pierce already has one Brazilian
opponent on his mind in Carlos Eduardo Rocha, but that isn't stopping
him from taking dead aim at another.
Pierce, who's in South Florida for this week's UFC on FX 3 event, said he's spending his spare time trying to track down a local resident.
"I've actually been looking for Thiago Alves," Pierce told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "I hit up all the fast-food joints in the area. I know he lives in town, and I haven't been able to find him."

Trainer Zahabi on GSP vs. MacDonald: ‘We’re not going to make a problem out of it’
With all signs pointing to a likely fight between rising contender Rory MacDonald and MMA legend B.J. Penn, the young Canadian could put himself in prime position for a title shot with a victory.
But training partner Georges St-Pierre currently rules the division, and the fighters have vowed not to fight each other.

August's UFC on FOX 4 event needs a new headliner.
Middleweight Brian Stann is out of his scheduled five-round middleweight headliner with promotional newcomer Hector Lombard due to an injury.
A source close to the event today confirmed the scratch with MMAjunkie.com, though the UFC has made no official announcement.

With Condit floating Kampmann plan, Hendricks demands UFC interim champ defend belt
While UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre appears to be aiming
for a November return to the octagon, interim welterweight champ Carlos
Condit recently revealed he's got a backup plan.
On Monday's new edition of HDNet's "Inside MMA," Condit said he'd be happy to defend his belt against Martin Kampmann if St-Pierre's injured knee proves problematic.
That came as a shocking revelation to fellow top contender Johny Hendricks, who has one simple question for Condit: What about me?
