The 30 year old Jean remains undefeated and currently is ranked #8 by the WBC, while the 35 year old Rivera has won two straight and gone 4-0-1 in his last five outings.
According to Eye of the Tiger Management, Nicholson Poulard (18-3, 8 KO’s), Ahmad Cheikho (7-4-2, 5 KO’s), Baha Laham (9-0, 4 KO’s), Schiller Hyppolite (4-0, 2 KO’s) and Chris Plaitis (1-0) will also be part of the program. The location within Montreal for the fight card is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Jean has surged through the rankings and should face yet another stiff test against the well- travelled Rivera. In his last outing on May 19th, he defeated LanardoTyner by a lopsided unanimous decision in Pointe-Claire, Quebec to claim the vacant NABF title.
