Ronnie Agosto’s passion for competing began in high school, where he was a standout amateur wrestler for Boys Town High School in Nebraska. For three straight years (01-05) Agosto was an All State Wrestler who also won Wrestler of the Year in 2005. His senior year he went undefeated despite tearing a ligament in his ankle.
Agosto’s wrestling prowess earned him a full athletic scholarship from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and later Dana College in Blair, NE. Dana College team placed sixth in nationals during his two years of wrestling there.
Now based in North Bergen, NJ, Agosto is trained by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Julio Rodriguez and Muay Thai instructor Fitzpatrick Tuazon at Global Boxing Gym as he begins his journey into Mixed Martial Arts. For Agosto, the transition is natural.
“I just have the drive to succeed and win. I love the thrill of fighting. I would do this for free for the privilege to compete.”
